Ramadan Nights at Lakemba

Its the weekend and me and my friends plan to visit Lakemba, a Muslim suburb in Sydney. Every weekend in Ramadan, the street is closed for vehicles and streets are filled with food stalls. There were few people when we arrived, but as the night passed the streets turned busy with people tasting food, smiling away.
The thing that you are supposed to do here is come with an empty stomach. We however did not do that. My friend from Indonesia and I had a grand iftar at home before leaving. On the whole I hardly ate there. I share pictures of mostly sweet food that I did not try
.
I did taste the sweet lady fingers  and the fried oreos (both pictured below). Both were yum.
Fried Oreos

Lady fingers?!
There is a place called 'Khushboo' which is said to serve the best haleem and biryani. Our full state did not give permission so I made a mental note to come back to Lakemba post Ramadan and try it.
Another must try thing are the camel burgers. They had the longest queue of people waiting to get their hands on them.
There was a henna stall as well so I bought a tiny cone for Eid. I had a great time. Met friends from Indonesia, Iraq and Bosnia. Winter nights (yes its winters here) couldn't get any better.
