My friend drops down to my desk to say hi. I tell her I wanted her opinion on some online shopping, however, have bought it anyways. I tell her, online shopping makes me happy. Retail therapy! I then went on to tell her a list of things which make me happy; Online shopping,  Making food Conversations Writing She laughs at me. Watched it today. What a beautiful beautiful movie. Fantastic acting. The strength of father daughter relationship. The strength of women supporting women. In the movie, the character says, 'During college life, I only wanted one thing in life, love and respect. I have become the same college girl now'. This is what women demand. Love and respect. And for mistakes done in the past, they forgive, only if you apologize. Only if you mean it.  Only if you decide to not repeat.  Go watch 'thappad' if its playing in a theatre near you.

Eid Mubarak guys! Hope you had a fantastic one. Will take you through what I did. Chand Raat I tried to have things exactly the way back home. This involved cleaning home squeaky clean. Awwwwww I made saiwaiyaan and chicken karahi (recipe was from food fusion). I mainly made it for the mini-Eid party with colleagues that us three muslim girls at work had planned for Thursday (second day of EID). Its the weekend and me and my friends plan to visit Lakemba, a Muslim suburb in Sydney. Every weekend in Ramadan, the street is closed for vehicles and streets are filled with food stalls. There were few people when we arrived, but as the night passed the streets turned busy with people tasting food, smiling away.   The thing that you are supposed to do here is come with an empty stomach. We however did not do that. My friend from Indonesia and I had a grand iftar at home before leaving. On the whole I hardly ate there. I share pictures of mostly sweet food that I did not try . I did taste the sweet lady fingers  and the fried oreos (both pictured below). Both were yum. The weather is slowly moving towards winter. I have a flight to Singapore. After getting my luggage checked, the security guy stops me and asks me to show him my passport. He goes through it and asks me in Sindhi where I am heading and then asks what I do. I tell him I am a doctor. He asks me since when. Since forever I think to myself. Today I am not telling anyone my age. Go figure! Next stop is the airport masjid. So many ladies are heading for Umrah. There is always a leader who they would seek for advice on exactly how many rakats to pray. I ask the lady to pray for me . She asks me if I am also going for umrah. I smile back. Its a no. Kyun Nikala is a stage show by KopyKats productions. We watched it on Saturday at a 5 pm show at Arts counsil. I sort of knew that it would be a political satire but did not know that it would be this good. Some of the jokes however flew above my head (sar kay upar say guzar gay) but I saw my father laughing hard so I suppose that they must be relevant and funny. Kindly note that I have very limited political knowledge. The last scene was the best, which was a laughing riot.  All the actors were fantastic, but the best were Sajid Hassan, in the role of a Chaudary and Mohsin Ejaz as Mujeeb Bengali. There are very few shows left. Do watch it guys.
